Violence Against Women Act ("VAWA") Immigration Petitions
Allows a battered immigrant spouse, child, or parent of any gender file an immigration petition without their abuser’s knowledge. If approved, a VAWA petition lets the applicant work in the United States and become a permanent resident (green card holder).
